About Hair Root

Hair Root is a botanical hair care shop. We sell serums, oils, masks, and leave-in treatments built around named botanical actives — rosemary, ginger, ginseng, batana oil, shea and mango butter — alongside proven conditioning ingredients like keratin and collagen.

Every ingredient is listed

Look at any product page on this site and you will find the actual ingredients, in concentration order, with a short note on what each one does. No vague “proprietary blends,” nothing undisclosed, no ingredient lists that stop at the flattering part. That includes the unglamorous ones: if a formula uses a mineral oil base or an animal-derived active, it is named on the page like everything else. If it is in the bottle, it is on the page.

We say what our products do — and what they don’t

A lot of hair care is sold on promises it cannot keep. We have deliberately kept those claims off this site. Our products are cosmetic: they condition, smooth, moisturise, and improve how your hair looks and feels. They are not medicines, they do not treat conditions, and they will not regrow hair. Where a supplier has described a product in stronger terms than we think is fair, we have rewritten it.

We would rather you buy something that works the way we said it would than something you return disappointed.

A small, considered range

We carry a focused selection rather than an endless catalogue — a handful of scalp serums and oils, a set of deep conditioning masks, and a few everyday sprays and leave-ins. Each one is chosen to do a specific job, so you are picking based on what your hair needs rather than wading through near-identical options.

Buying with confidence

Every order is covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If a product is not right for you, tell us and we will refund it. Shipping is free on US orders over $50, and checkout is handled securely through Shopify.
