Ginger & Ginseng Root Nourishing Scalp Essence — Daily Hair Oil with Vitamin E

A lightweight scalp essence formulated with tocopherol (vitamin E), Panax ginseng root extract and ginger root oil, in a fast-absorbing jojoba and mineral oil base. Worked into the scalp daily, it supports the look of fuller, thicker hair and leaves the lengths softer and shinier. Available on its own, or in one of nine sets that pair it with a botanical hair spray and a micro-needle roller.

Choosing a set

The essence is sold either as a single bottle or in one of nine sets. The sets fall into three ranges, each offered in three sizes. Weights shown are the shipping weight of the whole pack, which is the clearest guide to how much you receive — a single bottle ships at 66g. Range A is around 20g heavier than ranges B and C at every size.

The micro-needle roller included in the sets

Every set also ships with a handheld micro-needle roller — a rolling head fitted with fine needles that pierce the surface of the skin. It is a personal skincare device rather than a hair accessory, and it sits in a different regulatory category from everything else in this store: it has not been cleared by the FDA, and we make no claim that it treats hair loss, thinning, or any other condition.

We deliberately do not provide usage instructions for it. If you choose to use it, follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied in the box, and read the safety points below first. If you would prefer not to receive one at all, order the Essence liquid option.

How to use

The essence: Apply an appropriate amount evenly through the hair and scalp, and massage gently with your fingertips until fully absorbed. Use daily; no rinsing needed. Give it at least three months before judging results — hair grows roughly a centimetre a month.

The spray: Shake well, hold 15–20cm from dry or towel-dried hair, mist evenly over the scalp and lengths, then massage in. Do not rinse. Style as usual.

For external use only, on intact skin. Patch test before first use if you have a sensitive scalp.

Safety information — please read before using the micro-needle roller

• Do not use the roller together with the essence or the spray. Micro-needling devices are not approved for delivering cosmetic products into the skin, and doing so can drive ingredients past the skin barrier that were only ever formulated to sit on top of it. Use the essence and spray on intact skin only, on a separate occasion from any rolling.
• For one person only. Never share the roller — doing so can transmit infection.
• Clean the roller thoroughly before and after every use, and replace it as directed by the manufacturer.
• Never use it on broken or irritated skin, sunburn, active acne, eczema, psoriasis, moles, or any area with an infection.
• Stop immediately if you experience bleeding, lasting redness, swelling or pain.
• Do not use if you take blood-thinning medication, have a bleeding or clotting disorder, a history of keloid scarring, diabetes affecting wound healing, or are pregnant — unless a doctor has told you it is safe.
• Not for use by anyone under 18.
• If you are unsure whether micro-needling is right for you, speak to a dermatologist before using it.
